As a Clinical pharmacist (neurology) and medical lecturer, I soon developed an interest in burnout prevention as there is a higher rate in healthcare professionals. I love my work but it should not be at the expense of my wellbeing.
I have tried every yoga and mindful practice going. Sometimes you just want to close your eyes and have someone talk you through, step by step, mind body practice. I could not find what I needed to take care of me – so I created it.
Yoga is a passion for me, so I am luck that I can teach because I want to, I enjoy it, I teach therapeutic yoga once a week (zoom) and it has been an amazing journey. However, when you teach and do not replenish your energy, it can be draining. I was in catch 22. I did the teacher training to inform my own practice and teaching happened….. but now this is draining me too. Sometimes all you want to do is sit in your jim jams, have someone do some mind body practice that is not that physically taxing but is going to shake your day off and re-set you.
This did not exist so I created it. Therapeutic yoga sessions are released as audio yoga every week.
